LONGVIEW, Texas – Carly Slovensky scored a career-high three goals Tuesday night and Amanda Atwell added another for Centenary as the Ladies downed former conference foe LeTourneau, 4-2, in women’s soccer action.

Centenary jumped to 2-1-1 and kept LeTourneau winless at 0-6. The Ladies return to the field Friday at 5 p.m. to host Wiley College.

Slovensky started the game’s scoring with her second goal of the year off a corner kick, thanks to Anna D’Angelo’s first assist, at the 16:40 mark before putting the Ladies up 2-0 less than three minutes later. Laurie Priftis collected her first assist on Slovenky's second score of the night.

Amanda Atwell netted the Ladies third first half goal, assisted by Madison Alexander, which was the eventual game-winner. LeTourneau’s Liz Bowman used a penalty kick in the 59th minute to put the YellowJackets on the board before another goal, unassisted, just three minutes later, to cut the lead to 3-2.

Slovensky dropped in her final goal in the 84th minute to put the game out of reach. Slovensky leads Centenary with eight points, followed by Alexander’s four (one goal, two assists). All four of Slovenky’s shots were on goal.

Centenary’s three goals in the first 45 minutes forced LeTourneau’s starting goalie Nicole Kemper out after the first half. Centenary’s Brittaney Dunn went the distance in the net, collecting five saves.
