Slovensky nets POTW accolade
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore defender Carly Slovenky has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference’s women’s soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Slovensky poured in a career-best three goals in a 4-2 win over LeTourneau Sept. 11, helping the Ladies improve to 2-1-1, earning Centenary’s first-ever SCAC Player of the Week honor. The Richmond, Texas, native leads all Ladies with four goals and eight points, ranking third in SCAC standings, three behind University of Dallas leader Claire Sexton. Slovensky ranks second, just behind Sexton, with two points per game. Slovensky and the Ladies return to action Friday at in their SCAC opener at Austin College. |
