SHREVEPORT – Centenary College couldn’t handle the nation’s top-ranked team Friday evening as the Trinity Tigers escaped Mayo Field with a dominating 10-0 win in women’s soccer play. The Ladies fall to 3-3-1 and 0-2 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play while the Tigers remain unblemished at 7-0-1 and 3-0 in the SCAC. The No. 1Tigers held a staggering 57-1 shot advantage, 27 on goal. Madison Alexander mustered the Ladies only attempt, a slow soft roller off her left foot that slid past the goalie and missed the goal by inches. Trinity led 3-0 at the half, but 34 second-half shots led to seven more goals to put the game out of reach. Stephanie Segovia and Emily Jorgens poured in three goals apiece for Trinity while four other Tigers accounted for scores. |
