GEORGETOWN, Texas – Madison Alexander and Carly Slovensky lead the Centenary women’s soccer team to Southwestern Friday night for a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest. The game is slated for 8 p.m. as the Ladies (3-5-1, 0-4 SCAC) look to end a three-match losing streak. Southwestern enters Friday 8-6 and 2-3 in SCAC play. Continuing their three-match road trip, the Ladies wrap up the stint away from home at Trinity University Oct. 14 before host Austin College Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. Southwestern won the first meeting 3-0 on Sept. 30, which was moved to Messmer Stadium in Bossier City because of field conditions at Mayo Field. Hannah Neil, Paige Duggins and Chelsea Letzer scored a goal apiece. Alexander and Slovensky are tied atop the Ladies charts with 10 points apiece, but Slovensky holds a slim 5-4 margin in goals. Alexander complements her four scores with two assists, tied with Traci lee for the team-best mark. Alexander also leads the Ladies in shots (24) and shots on goal (14). |
