SEGUIN, Texas – Sioned Kirkpatrick posted a hat trick to lead Texas Lutheran to an 8-1 decision over the Centenary women’s soccer team on Friday evening at Gustafson Field. The loss sets the Ladies back to 3-9-2 on the season and 1-5 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. The Bulldogs improve to 7-5 and 5-2 in the league.

Kirkpatrick connected on two of her three goals in the first half to take a 2-0 lead in at the intermission.

Laurie Priftis cut the deficit in half early in the second half off a penalty kick in the 48th minute. The goal was the first of the season for the sophomore.

TLU answered back rattling off six straight scores, including Kirkpatrick’s third in the 67th minute. The final score of the night came off the foot of Lauren Arnold at the 89:21 mark of the half.

Erica Coker took the loss in net allowing four goals in over 66 minutes worth of action. The freshman claimed eight saves in the decision. Lauren Cullen toted the final 23-plus minutes allowing four goals against four saves.

Erin Rose picked up her second win against the Maroon and White with four saves in 74 minutes of play. Rose allowed the lone Centenary score in the contest. Devin Crump played the final 16 minutes also claiming a save.

Carly Slovensky and Amanda Atwell combined for four of the Ladies 10 shots in the outing with each placing one on goal. The team combined for six shots on target for the night.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 13 as the Ladies travel to Schreiner. Match time is scheduled for Noon.
