SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary women’s soccer player Laurie Priftis was named the Centenary Student-Athlete of the Week.

Priftis scored the only goal in the Ladies 1-0 win over the University of Dallas. The goal, which came in the first three minutes of the contest, placed her third on the team in scoring this season with two goals. The goal came off the only shot taken by the Rowlett, Texas, native on the evening. 

Fans are encouraged to cast votes at facebook.com/gocentenary every Monday. The student-athlete receiving the majority vote will calculate as 25% of the overall vote with the winner announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Women's soccer returns to action on Friday, Nov. 1 at Austin College.
