SHREVEPORT, LA – The Ladies gave up a penalty kick early and could not recover as Centenary College

(1-5, 0-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to visiting Texas Lutheran (5-0-1, 1-0-1) 6-0 Friday

night, September 18, at Mayo Field.

Junior Marissa Hughes paced the Ladies by putting both shots on goal taken during the game.

Texas Lutheran outpaced the Maroon and White 35-9 in shots, including 19-6 in shots on target.

The Bulldogs’ Sioned Kilpatrick scored a pair of goals in the opening minutes to match Hughes for the conference lead in that category. She scored in the fourth minute on a penalty kick, and then 12 minutes later when she dribbled in the box and went right post from the penalty area.

Tara Armstrong also added a penalty kick goal in the opening minutes of the second half.

Junior Erica Coker fell to 1-4 in goal for the Ladies this season, grabbing 11 saves in six shots faced. Erin Rose (4-0-1) played the entire first half for Texas Lutheran, grabbing the only shot faced.

Centenary College closes out their home stand Sunday, September 20, when it takes on Southwestern at noon.
