JACKSON, Miss. – Centenary Ladies soccer (0-2) began the season with a pair of games in Jackson, Mississippi, falling 6-0 Friday night, September 1, to Huntingdon (2-0) before surrendering a pair of second half goals in a 2-0 loss to the University of the Ozarks (2-0) Sunday afternoon, September 3.

Against the Eagles Sunday, sophomores Taylor Morgan and Gabby Lovemore managed shots on goal, while freshman Maggie Pitcher grabbed a pair of saves and falls to 0-2 between the pipes.

The University of the Ozarks Georgia Warren scored in the 56th and 84th minutes. Kiara Henry grabbed a pair of saves for the shutout win and improved to 2-0 in goal.

The Ladies fell 6-0 on Friday afternoon while Meredith Harrison netted a hat trick and added an assist for the Hawks.

Jackson and Lovemore both tallied a shot on goal for the Ladies, while Pitcher recorded four saves.

Besides Harrison, Elena Gay in the 36th minute, Lindsey Paskman in the 56th minute, and Camryn Hale in the 72nd minute scored goals for Huntingdon.

Centenary opens up home and Southern Collegiate action Friday night, September 8, at 5 p.m.
