SHREVEPORT, La. – The Ladies responded with their own score after giving up an early goal, but the Tigers scored the final three goals in the first half and tallied six in the second half as Centenary (2-4-1, 2-2-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic) fell to #14 Trinity (8-1, 4-3 SCAC) 10-1 Friday night, September 29.

After an early goal by the Tigers, freshman Pamela Fonseca put a shot on target that Trinity goalie Kalli Douma punched out in the 14th minute. However, classmate Kelly Vazquez cleaned up the loose ball for her second goal of the season.

Freshman goalie Maggie Pitcher fell to 2-4-1 in goal this season, grabbing five goals on 15 shots faced.

Following the equalizer by the Ladies, 16 minutes of scoreless soccer ensued with two shots on goal for Trinity and one shot on target by Centenary. However, Julia Kelley for the Tigers scored the game-winner off the post after a pass from Hannah Booher.

Chelsea Cole led Trinity with a pair of goals on a trio of shots on target, while Colleen Markey added three assists and a goal for a game-high five points. Douma picked up the win for the Tigers, playing 58:19 between the pipes and grabbing a pair of saves on three shots faced.
