SHREVEPORT, La. – The Ladies cut the deficit in half in the second half, but the Warriors held on for the road win as Centenary (4-11-1) lost 2-1 to Hendrix (7-8-3) in the regular season home finale at Mayo Field Tuesday night, October 24.

In the 79th minute, Hendrix failed to clear a ball in the box. Riley Spudic intercepted the failed pass in the box for the first goal of her senior season. Sophomore Taylor Morgan ripped a shot in the 82nd minute, but Hendrix goalie Jordan Rausch grabbed the save as the Warriors held on for the one-goal victory.

Early in both halves, Eveie Cannon found Hagan Griffith for her 12th and 13th goals of the season. Griffin had nine shots of the game, five of which were on target. Hendrix doubled up the Ladies in both total shots (20-10) and shots on goal (8-4).

Centenary returns to action Saturday in the regular season finale at Austin College. The Ladies claim the fourth seed with a win OR a Centenary tie and Southwestern loss. The Ladies are the fifth seed with a loss and a Southwestern loss, while a loss and Southwestern win nets the Maroon and White the sixth seed.
