SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary Ladies soccer team’s (4-12-3) 2017 season came to a close in the semifinals of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament with a 5-0 loss to #11 Trinity (17-1).

The visiting Tigers scored twice in the first nine minutes and added a third shortly before halftime, holding the Ladies to no shots in the first half. In the 62nd minute, Trinity scored its fourth goal of the game when a cross found Meredith Licta with her back to the goal She bicycle kicked for the finish. The Tigers added their fifth goal of the game in the 89th minute.

Centenary was outshot 38-3 for the game, including 14-2 in shots on goal. Senior Riley Spudic and freshman Pamela Fonseca had the lone shots on goal for the Ladies.

Katie Peth led Trinity with five shots, four of which were on goal.

Freshman goalie Maggie Pitcher saved nine shots on 14 faced. Kalli Douma and Paige Wallace split duties for the shared shutout for Trinity.

All-Conference and All-Tournament award winners will be announced this upcoming week.
