SHREVEPORT-The Centenary swimming teams will look to make another splash when it takes part in the Hendrix Invite and Relays this Friday and Saturday in Conway, Arkansas.

The Invite will begin on Friday at 4 pm, followed by the Relays on Saturday at Noon.

Looking to continue what it left off from last weekend's home victories over Hendrix and Austin College, Centenary will look to its entire team to make a quick impact and build on its training thus far.

"We have been training long enough now for this to be a true test of our progress. We really want to see a good team effort and display team energy this weekend," said head coach Butch Jordan.

Centenary has showed well at the Hendrix event year after year. The Gents are coming off a first place finish in both the Invite and Relays from a year ago, while the Ladies placed second in the Relays and third in the Invite.

Unlike normal one-day meets, the Hendrix event will stretches across two days and allows for a very competitive day-two Relays event.

"The first day is a normal meet, but with about 8 teams so not much different. The second day is all relays, which makes it unlike any other meet that we go to all season long. Our team really enjoys the all relay format. Relays always provide some exciting racing," said Jordan.

Centenary will host Henderson State on November 5 in Haynes Fitness Center at 1 pm as part of Homecoming festivities.
