Senior midfielder Migui Boldrin, a transfer playing her first season for the Centenary Ladies, was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Boldrin scored a pair of game-winning goals this past weekend in her debut for the Ladies. The Brazil native scored the game-winning goal in the Ladies' 1-0 season-opening win on Friday against LaGrange in Jackson, Miss. as she connected in the 15th minute of the first half to give the ladies a lead they would never relinquish. Boldrin then scored the game winner in the 106th minute, in a thrilling 3-2 double overtime victory Saturday at Belhaven. Boldrin also tallied two assists over the weekend in leading the Ladies to a 2-0 start to the 2019 season.
"Migui is a special player with an incredible skill set, but her most important attribute is her ability to make others better players and that's the mark of a true game changer (One that effects the game both on and off the ball)," said Centenary Ladies head coacg Greg Cathell. "She truly wants her teammates to succeed and we're blessed to have her as a member of the Centenary Family."
