MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Gents stayed close for the majority of the first half, but a run right before intermission that extended to the second half gave the Weevils the victory as Centenary (1-4) fell to NCAA Division II Arkansas-Monticello (2-2) 80-51 Saturday afternoon, November 24.
CONWAY, Ark. – The Gents were able to tie the game late after trailing by seven with 2:41 left, but the Warriors used a 25-13 edge in points off turnovers in the win as Centenary (1-2) fell to Hendrix (2-1) 64-62 in the final game of day one of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Association/Southern Athletic Association Classic Saturday night, November 17.
CONWAY, Ark. – The Gents Basketball team used hot shooting from behind the arc to overcome a 20-point deficit to send the game to overtime, but the Majors built an 8-point lead in OT and held on for the win as Centenary (1-3) fell to Millsaps (2-1) 81-76 in OT on the final day of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference/Southern Athletic Association Classic Sunday afternoon, November 18.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – For the second consecutive season, a Centenary Basketball player has been named the initial Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the season. For the 2018-19 year, that honor was bestowed upon senior Treylan Matthews for the first time in his career. Monday afternoon, November 12.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - In a close vote by the conference head coaches, the Centenary Gents Basketball team was selected to finish second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2018-19 season. The Gents, who received two first-place votes, finished runner-up in both the SCAC Regular Season and Tournament for the 2017-18 season.
