The Ladies (9-27) weren't able to gain any momentum on the offensive end, connecting on just two hits in the contest. Junior pitcher Lauren Highsmith went 1x1 with a run scored and an RBI for her first hit of her collegiate career to lead the Ladies, while senior Beth Krysiak picked up Centenary's only other hit.
Junior Sara Dornelas (3.2,7,7,1,2,1) fell to 8-19 with the loss after tossing 3.2 innings, allowing seven runs, one of which was earned, on seven hits with one strikeout.
Highsmith (1.0,3,2,2,2,1) pitched the final inning allowing two earned runs on three hits.
NSU connected on 10 hits and manufactured runs from the second through the fifth to send the Ladies home without a win.
Demons' pitcher Kylie Roos (5.0,2,1,1,2,8) fanned eight Ladies at the plate for the win, allowing one earned run on two hits.
Centenary will return to action this weekend at UMKC on Friday beginning with a double-header at 3:00 pm.
