SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Brevard College's women's golf team opened up the 2016 docket on Monday at the Converse Spring Invitational. After day one Brevard shot 403 to sit in 16th place out of 17 schools competing.
Freshman Taylor Scovel led Brevard with a 93 score, followed by fellow freshman Maddie Lutz who shot 98. Kindle Kirkham and Courtney Sharp both shot 106 while ZeAijah Mooney finished day one with a 116 score.
King University leads the field with a 317 score, and boasting the leading individual who scored 73. The South Atlantic Conference rounds out the top three teams with Anderson in second by 31 strokes with a 319 score followed by Queens who scored 320.
Brevard prepares for day two in Spartanburg, which is scheduled for tomorrow, Feb. 23.
