SHREVEPORT, La. – It will be an exciting summer as Centenary Volleyball announces a pair of camps, the second of which will be conducted by a 5-time Olympic volleyball player.
From August 2-3, Olympian Danielle Scott will host two separate camps for teenagers in 7th-12th grade. Kids in grades 7-9 will be from 8 -10 a.m. while 10-12 grades will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. both days. Cost is $100 and parents can find more information and sign up campers at here.
These clinics are designed for individuals who want to develop and strengthen all the fundamental skills of the game including setting, passing, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving. The coaching staff will be leb by Scott with assistance by the Centenary College Volleyball staff amongst other guest college coaches.
In addition, Ladies head coach Ashley McDonough will be hosting a skill clinic in the Centenary Fitness Center June 13-15. The camp for beginners in grades 5-9 will go from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., while intermediate and elite (9th-12th grade) will go from 2-4 p.m. each day. Cost is $150.
