Track & Field Back In Action On Friday At Carl Knight Invitational
The Centenary men's and women's track and field teams return to action on Friday as they are set to compete in the Carl Knight Invitational hosted by Stephen F. Austin University at Homer Bryce Stadium.

The Ladies and Gents were last in action on March 22 in the Belhaven University Invitational in Jackson, Miss.
Sophomore Christian Cormier (Lafayette, La.) finished second in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.93 and also placed fourth in the 200 meters (22.00) as he continued the impressive start to his season. Cormier was named the SCAC Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Week on March 18 after running a school-record and personal-best time of 10.75 on March 15 at the Cowboy Relays Bob Hayes Louisiana Challenge in Lake Charles, La. Cormier's 10.75 was, at that time, the fastest in the conference and third fastest in the all of Div. III.
Freshman Dwayne Mills Jr. (Slidell, La.) finished 11th in the 100 meters (11.17) and junior Obadiah Butler (Crowley, La.) was right behind him in 12th (11.18). Freshman Phillip Hughes (Bossier City, La.) placed 12th in the men's 400 meters (52.11), freshman Clayton Hancock (Buna, Texas) was 20th (53.07), and freshman Richard Ross (Normangee, Texas) finished 31st in a time of 57.37. Mills Jr. also finished ninth in the men's long jump (6.32m).
Sophomore Herman Pride (Baton Rouge, La.) placed 22nd in the long jump (5.70m) and freshman Evan Halbert (Pearl River, La.) finished 11th in the men's 5000-meter run (19:20.59), and freshman Jay Scott (Slidell, La.) finished fourth in the triple jump (12.97m).
Freshman Grayson Shugart (McKinney, Texas) finished 10th in the women's long jump (4.61m) and sophomore Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) finished 15th (4.33m). Sophomore Ella Walton (Lafayette, La.) finished 26th in the women's discus throw (18.62m) and Shugart finished sixth in the triple jump (9.66m).
