GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Diamond Gents entered the day knowing it needed a win to capture the third seed in the upcoming Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, and they held on for a 9-7 win against the Pirates in game on to do just that. However, Centenary (18-21-1, 10-8 SCAC) fell in the final game to Southwestern (23-17, 10-8 SCAC) 16-2 Saturday afternoon, April 27.

Gents Baseball Splits Doubleheader with East Texas Baptist

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Diamond Gents earned a doubleheader split in a pair of seven-inning games as Centenary (2-1) earned an 8-1 win in game one, but East Texas Baptist (1-1) battled back for a 12-2, run-ruled victory in game two Saturday afternoon, February 9.

Big Eighth Inning, Key Double Plays, Lifts Diamond Gents Past Louisiana College

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents were able to plate a run in the bottom of the fifth, but a big eighth inning blew the game open and the Wildcats were only able to scratch two runs across in the top of the ninth as Centenary (1-0) knocked off Pelican State-rival Louisiana College (0-1) 6-2 Monday night, February 4.
