2020 Senior Season: Had a stellar campaign as he went 3-1 with a team-best 2.08 ERA .... His three wins also led the team ... Tossed a team-best two complete games ... Was superb in his season debut for the Gents in their home oprner on Feb. 8 versus ETBU as he tossed a complete-game shutout, allowing just a single hit with two walks and four strikeouts. He threw 85 pitches, 56 for strikes, and faced just 25 batters in his seven innings of work ... Earned SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors on Feb. 10 following that performance ... Followed up his sensational season debut with another great outing versus Louisiana College on Feb. 15 as he pitched seven innings and alllowed just one run (earned) and five hits with a pair of walks and seven strikeouts ... Went 6.1 innings against Edgewood on Feb. 22 and allowed one earned run and four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts ... Final start of the season was against Occidental on Feb. 28 as he pitched 6 innings and allowed four runs, all earned, with five hits and three walks and five strikeouts ... Ranked first in the SCAC in opponent batting average (1.80), second in ERA, and fifth in innings pitched.

The Centenary baseball team dropped a 4-1 decision to the Occidental College Tigers on Friday afternoon at Anderson Field. Centenary will face Whittier College on Saturday in a doubleheader with game one scheduled for 1 p.m. and game two to follow at 4:30 p.m.

The Centenary baseball team swept a pair of games on Saturday in the Millsaps Invitational, defeating Edgewood by a score of 15-3 and blanking Eureka College, 12-0, in its second game to finish a perfect 3-0 in the weekend tournament at Twenty Field. The Gents (7-1) opened play in the Millsaps Invitational on Friday with a 6-5 walk-off victory over Edgewood.

Baseball Sweeps SCAC Individual Baseball Awards On Week One

Senior outfielder Cody Crowder (Shepherd, Texas) and senior right-handed pitcher Matthew Devillier (Lake Charles, La.) swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball individual awards on Monday, it was announced by the league office. Crowder was named the SCAC Baseball Hitter of the Week while Devillier earned SCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors for games played from Saturday, February 1 through Sunday, February 9.

Baseball Remains Perfect After Saturday Sweep Of ETBU

The Centenary baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from the East Texas Baptist University Tigers on Saturday by scores of 7-0 and 12-5 at Shehee Stadium. The Gents (3-0) opened their season on Friday with a 5-3 victory over ETBU in Marshall. Centenary has now won 10 of the last 14 matchups between the two teams.
