2020 Junior Season: Played in all 13 games, one of four Gents to do so, in a season cut short due to COVID-19 … Led the team with a .391 batting average and a .509 on-base percentage … Second on the team with a .543 slugging percentage …. Collected 18 hits (second on team) in 46 at-bats … Had 16 runs scored and seven RBI … Walked eight times and struck out only four times all season … Went 6-11 during the first three games of the season …. Had four multi-hit games ...  Named to the Spring 2020 SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.

2019 Sophomore Season: Hit .323 as he played in all 42 games with a .427 on-base percentage and a .429 slugging percentage ... Collected 52 hits in 161 at-bats with five doubles, three triples and two homers ... Had 28 RBI and stole 11 bases in 13 attempts ... Scored 31 runs ... Named Honorable Mention All-SCAC.

2018 Freshman Season: Named First Team All-Conference as a DH by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, the first freshman All-Conference player for the Gents in four seasons… Named to the SCAC All-Tournament team after going 5-for-15 with two doubles and four RBIs in four games… Had 33 hits, 19 RBIs, 18 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, and a home run in 38 games played during the season… Recorded three hits in four games on the season, including three in as many at-bats with a run scored and an RBI in the SCAC Regular Season-clinching 9-3 win against Trinity April 29… Added three hits and a season best four RBIs in the 6-3 win against Southwestern in an elimination game on the second day of the SCAC Championships May 5… In the game, a two-RBI single tied the game at two and he put the Gents in the lead for good later in the game with an RBI single… Only home run of the season came in a 7-0 win against Austin College April 21.

Prior to Centenary: Pitched and played infield at Sam Houston High School... Named First Team All-District, All-State, All-Southwest and All-Louisiana by USA Today for the Broncos... Named to the LHSCA All-Star Game... Named Academic All-State.

The Centenary baseball team opened play in the Millsaps Invitational on Friday afternoon with a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Edgewood College Eagles at Twenty Field. The Gents (5-1) were down 5-4 entering the ninth inning and scored the tying run on a wild pitch with one out and then a sacrifice fly by junior Peyton Cormane (Pineville, La.) scored redshirt freshman Ben Bridges (Beckville, Texas) with the winning run.

Gents Split Home Doubleheader With Louisiana College

The Centenary baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader with the Louisiana College Wildcats on Saturday at Shehee Stadium, taking game one 3-1 in seven innings and falling 11-7 in a nine-inning game two. The Gents (4-1) took game one behind another superb pitching performance from senior right-hander Matthew Devillier (Lake Charles, La.) as he tossed a complete-game, his second in a row this season, and allowed just one run on five hits while walking two and striking out five.

Baseball Opens Season with 5-3 Win At ETBU

The Centenary baseball team opened its 2020 season on Friday with a 5-3 road victory over the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in a non-conference game on Friday night at Woods Field. The Gents and Tigers will then meet on Saturday at Shehee Stadium in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Live stats and live video will be available for Saturday’s games. Centenary has won eight of the last 12 matchups between the two teams following Friday’s season-opening victory.
