Baseball Falls At Occidental, 4-1

The Centenary baseball team dropped a 4-1 decision to the Occidental College Tigers on Friday afternoon at Anderson Field. Centenary will face Whittier College on Saturday in a doubleheader with game one scheduled for 1 p.m. and game two to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Gents Split Home Doubleheader With Louisiana College

The Centenary baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader with the Louisiana College Wildcats on Saturday at Shehee Stadium, taking game one 3-1 in seven innings and falling 11-7 in a nine-inning game two. The Gents (4-1) took game one behind another superb pitching performance from senior right-hander Matthew Devillier (Lake Charles, La.) as he tossed a complete-game, his second in a row this season, and allowed just one run on five hits while walking two and striking out five.

Baseball Remains Perfect After Saturday Sweep Of ETBU

The Centenary baseball team swept a non-conference doubleheader from the East Texas Baptist University Tigers on Saturday by scores of 7-0 and 12-5 at Shehee Stadium. The Gents (3-0) opened their season on Friday with a 5-3 victory over ETBU in Marshall. Centenary has now won 10 of the last 14 matchups between the two teams.
