2023 Freshman Season: Made an immediate impact on the rubber for the Diamond Gents in his rookie season as he went 3-1 with a 3.95 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP and had one save … Ranked third on the team in appearances (16) and fourth in starts (6) and his 16 appearances was tied for seventh in the conference … Pitched 41.0 innings (fourth on team) and allowed 39 hits and 20 runs (18 earned) with 15 walks and 38 strikeouts (fourth on team) … Made his debut on Feb. 10 against Ozarks (Ark.) as he started and went 4.1 IP and allowed two earned runs and three hits with two BB and three K and received a no-decision … First win came in relief against Texas Lutheran on March 18 in conference play … Recorded wins in April against ETBU and Austin College … Against ETBU, he started and went five innings as he allowed an earned run on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts … He faced 20 batters and threw 88 pitches (57 strikes) … In the start against the ‘Roos, he entered in relief and went 3.2 innings and did not allow a run or a hit with one walk and three strikeouts … His final appearance of the season came against TLU in the SCAC Championship as he worked a season-high 6.1 IP in relief and allowed five runs, all earned, and eight hits with one BB and five K and allowed a pair of home runs … Pitched at least five+ innings three times … Single-game season high in K’s was five which he accomplished on two occasions and struck out three or more batters in a game eight times and did so four-straight times to start the season.
