Callae Canfield - 2007-08 - Gymnastics

2005: Callae attended the United States Air Force Academy where she was a member of the varsity gymnastics team. She was on the Athletic Honor List, the Dean’s List, and took part in USAFA sponsored after-school programs.

Prep: Callae was involved in many activities while attending Oconee County High School. She was named to the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association All-State Gymnastics Team each season from 2002-2004. As captain, she helped lead the Warriors to their first State Championship in 2004 after finishing as the runner-up the previous year. She was deemed the freshman and sophomore Oconee Scholar, was honored for Academic Excellence in Nutrition and Wellness as well as Literature and Composition, was an All-American Scholar and an Academic Achievement Honoree as recognized by the United States Achievement Academy.

Callae was a member of the Principal’s Honor Roll all four years, graduated with honors, and was a member of Who’s Who Among High School Students. She was a member of the Yearbook Staff, the National Beta Gold Club, FCA, the Interact Club, and the National Honor Society. She volunteered with the Compass Community Church Children’s Ministry and served as a Teen Oconee Volunteer and as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Classic City Gymnastics Academy. For all her efforts, Callae received a Congressional Appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. 

Club: Callae was a member of the Classic City Gymnastics Academy for seven years under coach Jay Clark. Her high scores on the club level include a 9.50 on vault, 9.25 on bars, 9.55 on beam, 9.80 on floor, and a 37.150 in the all-around. In 1998, Callae was the Level 8 Regional Vault Champion, the Level 8 Georgia State Champion for the vault, beam, and all-around, and Georgia Regional Team member. From 1999 through 2002, she was a Georgia State Competitor at Levels 9 and 10 three times, a Regional Competitor twice, and also an Eastern National Competitor. In 2003, she was the Georgia State Floor Champion as well as a Level 10 Regional Competitor.
