2009: Was Centenary’s all-around competitor before a leg injury ended her season against Southeast Missouri ... High score on the vault was a 9.875 against Pennsylvania (March 8), had a 9.700 on bars against the Air Force Academy (Feb. 6), a 9.475 on beam at Alaska (Jan. 18) and a 9.800 twice against Air Force and Kentucky (Feb. 13). 

 

2008: Courtney was crowned the USAG National Champion on the floor exercise after posting a 9.900 and a season-high 9.925 in the team competitions, followed by a 9.875 in the event final. She was also named first team All-American on the vault and floor. She posted a season-high 9.925 on the vault at the USAG National Championships. She was one of the Ladies most consistent performers on the vault, averaging a 9.705 for the season. 

 

2007: Courtney was a USAG first team All-American on the vault and was a Midwest Independent Conference second team All-Conference member on the floor exercise. She broke the Centenary individual record on the vault with a score of 9.875.

 

High School: Courtney attended Sulphur High School where she was a member of the Top Teens of America and the National Honor Society. She graduated Summa Cum Laude.

 

Club: Courtney spent 13 years as a member of the Gymnastics Elite Training Center under the supervision of Coach Chuck Melallen. She was a regional qualifier six times.

All-Around: 38.925, Vault: 9.925, Bars: 9.7, Beam: 9.7, Floor: 9.9

 

Personal: Born December 21, 1987 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Courtney is the daughter of Marie Hawkins and Ellis Hawkins. She has two younger brothers and one younger sister. She is a biology major and plans to be a physical therapist.
