Bio

2007: Meredith continued her strong showings on the vault by finishing in second place at USAG Nationals. She was once again named a first team All-American. In addition, she was a first team Midwest Independent Conference performer and Academic All-Conference selection.

2006: Meredith was the USAG Collegiate National Vault Champion and was first team All-American on the vault.

2005: Meredith competed in every competition for the Ladies on both the vault and floor exercise as a freshman. She recorded a season-high 9.750 on the vault at Oklahoma and her 9.600 at the USAG Nationals was good enough to place her in the top eight, earning her USAG All-American status. Her best performance on the floor came in a home meet against Southeast Missouri State where she notched a 9.900. For the season she averaged a 9.466 on the vault and a score of 9.616 on the floor.

Prep: Meredith lettered in track as well as gymnastics for the A&M Consolidated Tigers. She was a four-year state qualifier in gymnastics and was named All-District and All-State. She earned Elite All-American status on all four events each year in high school and holds school records in all events. She was also a member of the National Honor Society and PALS.

Club: Meredith competed for Jim and Julie Foght at Brazos Valley Gymnastics for three years. She was named Gymnast of the Month three times and Gymnast of the Year twice. She was a 2004 level 10 qualifier and a National High School Champion on the floor the same year. She also placed second on the vault and tenth in the all-around at the competition.

Personal: Meredith was born on May 29, 1986 in Houston, Texas. She has two sisters and a brother and is the daughter of Richard and Leta Smith. Meredith is a Biology major. Her full name is Meredith Anne Smith.
