2008-09
Started four games and played in four games before an injury sidelined him for the season ... Received a medical redshirt ... At Baylor (Nov. 18) pulled down season-best five rebounds and scored nine points.
High School
Daman attended El Toro High School where he helped guide the Chargers to a 24-4 record overall and a 9-1 mark in the Sea View League as a senior. He averaged 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game in his final prep season. His team won the league championship and advanced into the state playoffs where they lost in the second round. He was selected first team All-Sea View League, was named Best Defensive Player by his teammates and led the team in rebounding. Daman also lettered in baseball and attended Summit Prep School in 2007-08 in Simi Valley, Calif. He played two seasons of club basketball for Branch West under coaches Bob Gotleib and Luis Turcios.
Personal
Born December 22, 1988 in Lake Charles, La., Daman is the son of Tammy Starring. He has one older sister and his mother played basketball at McNeese State. He would like to play professional basketball in the NBA or overseas upon graduating from Centenary.
