SHREVEPORT, La. -- Centenary's Caden Cheramie was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Character and Community Male Student-Athlete of the Week. Cheramie is a four-year member of the Gents' basketball team.
The Galliano, La., native has served as a Fellowship of Christian Athletes speak at middle schools across Caddo Parish and works as a volunteer for Celebration Children's Church and has spent numerous hours with the Community Renewal friendship houses.
Along with his teammates, the senior has spent time volunteering at Common Ground in Shreveport and has worked the Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Days at Centenary.
