Averaged 7.9 points per game (fifth on team) and 6.6 rebounds per game, which ranked second on the team and 12th in the conference ... Averaged 24.7 minutes per game .... Shot 52.7 % from the floor for the season which led the team and was third-best in the conference ... Averaged 8.1 points per game and 26.0 minutes per game in SCAC play ... Posted seven double-digit scoring performances during the season and scored a season-high 19 points on Nov. 29 at Howard-Payne ... Recorded six double-digit rebounding performances ... Men's Basketball Defeats Schreiner And Will Face Texas Lutheran On Sunday In SCAC Title Game

The No. 1 seed Centenary men's basketball team defeated the Schreiner Mountaineers on Saturday by a score of 76-70 in the semifinals of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship at Stephens Family Arena to advance to Sunday's title game against the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs at Noon. The Gents (17-9, 14-5 SCAC) will face TLU for the third time this season after the two teams split a pair of regular-season meetings. Live stats and live video will be available for Sunday's championship game at www.scacsports.com.

The Centenary men's basketball team defeated the Southwestern Pirates in thrilling fashion by a score of 82-79 on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Robertson Center. The Gents (12-9, 9-5 SCAC) trailed 79-75 with just 28 seconds remaining but tied the game at 79-79 on a layup on by freshman guard Ralph Johnson (New Iberia, La.) and then he made three clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the comeback victory.

The Centenary men’s basketball team raced out to a 15-point halftime lead over the Southwestern Pirates on Friday and picked up an 84-74 victory in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Gold Dome. The Gents (8-6, 5-2 SCAC) improved to 5-0 at home this season and have won six of their last eight games. Southwestern fell to 7-6 and 3-3 in SCAC play. Centenary has won six of its eight games this season by double digits.

Men's Basketball Falls For First Time In SCAC Play

The Centenary men's basketball team lost for the first time in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday as the Gents fell, 72-65, to the Schreiner Mountaineers at the Stephens Family Arena. The Gents (7-5, 4-1 SCAC) had their five-game winning streak snapped with the loss while Schreiner improved to 3-7 and 1-2 in SCAC play. Senior guard Cedric Harris (Shreveport) led the way with 15 points in 35 minutes of action.

The Gents (3-4) outscored the Wildcats 42-31 in the second half after trailing by a point (35-34) at halftime. Louisiana College fell to 4-2 with the loss. The teams split the season series after the Wildcats defeated the Gents, 71-66, back on Nov. 12 in Pineville. Centenary, playing at home for the first time in nearly a month, was led in scoring by sophomore forward Ty Prince (Thorndale, Texas) as he posted 18 points in 36 minutes, making 8 of 12 shots from the field and two of five from three-point range.

Men's Basketball Faces ETBU On Road Monday

The Centenary men’s basketball team will face the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in a non-conference game on Monday set for 7:30 p.m. at the Ornelas Gymnasium. The Gents (2-3) return to Texas after falling 99-83 to the LeTourneau YellowJackets last Tuesday in Longview as they are set to play their fourth-straight road contest. ETBU improved to 4-1 after beating Hendrix, 81-68, on Nov. 26 in its home opener. Centenary won both matchups last season and leads the all-time series, 7-3.

Men's Basketball Drops Non-Conference Game Tuesday At LeTourneau

The Centenary men's basketball team fell 99-83 to the LeTourneau University YellowJackets on Tuesday in a non-conference game at the Solheim Arena. The Gents (2-3) were playing their third-straight game on the road after splitting a pair of contests this past weekend against Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons. The YellowJackets improved to 5-1 after Tuesday’s victory.  LeTourneau raced out to a 58-33 lead at halftime, but the Gents’ offense came alive in the second half, outscoring the YellowJackets, 50-41.

Men's Basketball Cruises Past Millsaps In Home Opener, 84-51

The Centenary men's basketball opened its 2019-20 home schedule with a dominating 84-51 victory over the Millsaps Majors on Tuesday night at a spirited Gold Dome.  The Gents (1-1) received 25 points from star senior guard and Shreveport native Cedric Harris and 22 from sophomore forward Ty Prince (Thorndale, Texas). Centenary held a slim 31-28 lead at halftime but erupted for 53 points in the final 20 minutes to cruise to the victory in its home opener.

Men's Basketball Opens Season with 71-66 Loss at Louisiana College

The Centenary men's basketball team opened its 2019-20 season with a 71-66 non-conference loss to the Louisiana College Wildcats on Tuesday at H.O. West Fieldhouse. The Gents (0-1) had three players in double figures, led by 23 from sophomore forward Ty Prince (Thorndale, Texas). Sophomore guard Kyle Mingo (Cypress, Texas) added 12 points and senior guard Cedric Harris (Shreveport) scored 10. Prince had a team-best six rebounds.
