2019-20 Freshman Season: Named the 2019-20 SCAC Newcomer of the Year as he played in all 28 games with 25 starts ... Earned Honorable-Mention All-SCAC honors ... Averaged 11.1 points per game (third on team) and shot 47.8 % from the floor (third on team) for the season ... Averaged 29.5 minutes per game and had 15 double-digit scoring performances ... Was very versatile as he also averaged 2.9 assists per game and 2.7 rebounds per game ... Averaged 12.4 points per game and 3.7 assists per game in SCAC play ... Scored a season-high 28 points on Feb. 14 at home versus St. Thomas ... Led the Gents with 17 points in 34 minutes in the SCAC title game on March 1 versus Texas Lutheran... Men's Basketball Defeats Schreiner And Will Face Texas Lutheran On Sunday In SCAC Title Game

The No. 1 seed Centenary men's basketball team defeated the Schreiner Mountaineers on Saturday by a score of 76-70 in the semifinals of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship at Stephens Family Arena to advance to Sunday's title game against the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs at Noon. The Gents (17-9, 14-5 SCAC) will face TLU for the third time this season after the two teams split a pair of regular-season meetings. Live stats and live video will be available for Sunday's championship game at www.scacsports.com.

Men's Basketball Edges Southwestern, 82-79, in Road SCAC Thriller

The Centenary men's basketball team defeated the Southwestern Pirates in thrilling fashion by a score of 82-79 on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Robertson Center. The Gents (12-9, 9-5 SCAC) trailed 79-75 with just 28 seconds remaining but tied the game at 79-79 on a layup on by freshman guard Ralph Johnson (New Iberia, La.) and then he made three clutch free throws down the stretch to seal the comeback victory.

Men's Basketball Picks up 71-65 Win Over Trinity At Home

The Centenary men’s basketball team completed a weekend sweep of a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents with a 71-65 victory over Trinity on Sunday at the Gold Dome. The Gents (11-9, 8-5 SCAC) won their third-straight game and improved to 7-1 at home this season. Centenary defeated Schreiner, 66-63, on Friday. Trinity fell to 7-12 and 5-7 SCAC with the loss. The Gents entered Sunday’s play tied with Dallas for fourth in the conference standings.

Men's Basketball Falls to Texas Lutheran At Home, 79-75

The Centenary men's basketball team fell to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs on Sunday, 79-75, in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Gold Dome. The Gents (8-7, 5-3 SCAC) lost for the first time at home this season after starting 5-0. Texas Lutheran improved to 9-5 and 6-1 in the SCAC. Centenary has still won seven of its last nine games. Centenary senior guard Cedric Harris (Shreveport) scored a game-high and season-best 32 points in 38 minutes.

Men's Basketball Dominates Johnson and Wales, 92-54, To Remain Perfect In SCAC Play

The Centenary men's basketball team extended its winning streak to five with a 92-54 win over the Johnson and Wales Wildcats on Sunday in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at the Gold Dome. The Gents (7-4, 4-0 SCAC) went to overtime on Sunday to defeat Colorado College but had no trouble with the Wildcats on Monday as they cruised to the 38-point victory. Johnson and Wales dropped to 2-9 and 1-3 in SCAC play with the loss. Centenary remained atop the conference standings with St. Thomas (4-0) who defeated Colorado College, 102-92, on Sunday. Southwestern (3-0) faces Trinity Monday evening at home. The Maroon and White also remained perfect (4-0) at home this season.

Men's Basketball Opens SCAC Play With Victory At Austin College

The Centenary men’s basketball team opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday with an 82-73 victory over the Austin College ‘Roos at the Hughey Gymnasium. The Gents (4-4, 1-0 SCAC) won their second game in a row after defeating Louisiana College, 76-66, last Saturday at home. Centenary won its conference opener for the second-straight season after beating the University of Dallas at home last season.

Men's Basketball Faces ETBU On Road Monday

The Centenary men’s basketball team will face the East Texas Baptist University Tigers in a non-conference game on Monday set for 7:30 p.m. at the Ornelas Gymnasium. The Gents (2-3) return to Texas after falling 99-83 to the LeTourneau YellowJackets last Tuesday in Longview as they are set to play their fourth-straight road contest. ETBU improved to 4-1 after beating Hendrix, 81-68, on Nov. 26 in its home opener. Centenary won both matchups last season and leads the all-time series, 7-3.

Men's Basketball Drops Non-Conference Game Tuesday At LeTourneau

The Centenary men's basketball team fell 99-83 to the LeTourneau University YellowJackets on Tuesday in a non-conference game at the Solheim Arena. The Gents (2-3) were playing their third-straight game on the road after splitting a pair of contests this past weekend against Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons. The YellowJackets improved to 5-1 after Tuesday’s victory.  LeTourneau raced out to a 58-33 lead at halftime, but the Gents’ offense came alive in the second half, outscoring the YellowJackets, 50-41.

Men's Basketball Falls At Hardin-Simmons On Saturday

The Centenary men’s basketball team fell 73-64 in a non-conference game on Saturday to the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys at the Mabee Complex. The Gents dropped to 2-2 on the season while the Cowboys improved to 4-2. Hardin-Simmons led 31-24 at halftime and edged the Maroon and White, 42-40, in the second half.

Men's Basketball Opens Season with 71-66 Loss at Louisiana College

The Centenary men's basketball team opened its 2019-20 season with a 71-66 non-conference loss to the Louisiana College Wildcats on Tuesday at H.O. West Fieldhouse. The Gents (0-1) had three players in double figures, led by 23 from sophomore forward Ty Prince (Thorndale, Texas). Sophomore guard Kyle Mingo (Cypress, Texas) added 12 points and senior guard Cedric Harris (Shreveport) scored 10. Prince had a team-best six rebounds.
