Men's Golf Just Six Shots off Lead Entering Final Round of Alamo City Classic

Centenary, playing in its season-opening tournament, sit just six shots behind leader Mary Hardin-Baylor (+1; 285) entering Tuesday's final round. University of Dallas is in second place at 2-over 286 while host Trinity is at 3-over 287, two strokes ahead of the Gents and Howard Payne.
Centenary's freshmen duo of Ricky Blair (Bossier City, La.) and Riley Chase (Crosby, Texas) are leading the way through the first two rounds as they are tied for ninth overall after firing identical even-par 71 rounds. Sophomore Richard Polan (Brno, Czech Republic) shot a 2-over 73 and is tied for 17th overall. Senior Brodey Warner (Brookeland, Texas) shot a 5-over 76 and is tied for 28th place, and fellow senior Harrison John (Lafayette, La.) is tied for 31st place after carding a 6-over par 77.
Texas Lutheran's Chase Maus finished the day as the top individual after firing a 3-under par 68. Chase and Blair are just three shots behind Maus. Seven other golfers currently sit at 2 or 1-udner par between them and the leader. Blair had the best par 3 scoring on Monday at 2-under par. Chase and Blair each picked up five birdies to tie five other golfers for the most on the day.
