Women's Basketball to Face Schreiner On Road This Weekend
The Centenary women’s basketball team hits the road for the first time this season as the Ladies face the Schreiner Mountaineers on Friday in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at 3 p.m. at the Stephens Family Arena.
Kerrville, Texas – The Centenary women's basketball team hits the road for the first time this season as the Ladies face the Schreiner Mountaineers on Friday in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at 3 p.m. at the Stephens Family Arena.

The Ladies and Mountaineers split a pair of games last season. Centenary lost a close game, 68-62, on the road and lost 65-50 at home.
The Ladies (0-2) are coming off a split at home last weekend with Texas Lutheran to open their season. Centenary dropped a hard-fought game, 70-61, on Saturday afternoon after a loss the night before in its season opener.
Freshman guard Addy Tremie (Sulphur, La.) posted 18 points in her Ladies debut on Saturday after not playing on Friday. She shot 7-16 from the floor in 38 minutes and made four of her 10 three-point attempts and grabbed seven rebounds. Junior guard Kristen Stuart (Kilgore, Texas), another newcomer for the Ladies, scored in double figures for the second day in a row with 12 points on 4 of 10 shooting in 32 minutes. She had 15 points in her debut with the Ladies on Friday.
Senior guard Jennae Mayberry (Clovis, Calif.) also scored 12 points in 37 minutes of action on Saturday as she made 5 of her 8 field goal attempts and grabbed nine rebounds and had an assist and a steal. Sophomore forward Jazzmyn Jones (Normangee, Texas) scored 10 points off the bench in 21 minutes of action on Saturday, making 3 of 5 shots and 4 of 5 free throws. Junior guard Alex Williams (Shreveport) scored four points, had five rebounds, and two assists on Saturday.
The Ladies stay on the road next weekend as they travel to Dallas to face the Crusaders on Jan. 29 (5 p.m.) and Jan. 30 (1 p.m.). Centenary then returns home to face Colorado College on Feb. 5 and 6 at 5 p.m. and Noon respectively. Live video and live stats are available at all home games.
