Shreveport, La. - The undefeated Centenary Women's Soccer Team hits the road again on Wednesday as the Ladies square off with the Millsaps College Majors at Harper Davis Field in Jackson, Miss. in a mathc set for 5 p.m.
The Ladies (2-0) played their first two matches of the season in Jackson, edging LaGrange in their season opener last Friday, 1-0, and then defeating Belhaven by a score of 3-2 on Saturday in a double overtime thriller.
Senior midfielder Migui Boldrin, a transfer playing her first season for the Ladies, was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday for her part in Centenary's two wins last weekend.
Boldrin scored a pair of game-winning goals in her debut for the Ladies. The Brazil native scored the game-winning goal in the Ladies' 1-0 season-opening win on Friday against LaGrange as she connected in the 15th minute of the first half to give the ladies a lead they would never relinquish. Boldrin then scored the game winner in the 106th minute, in a thrilling 3-2 double overtime victory Saturday at Belhaven. Boldrin also tallied two assists over the weekend in leading the Ladies to a 2-0 start to the 2019 season.
