The Centenary swimming teams finished competition at the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday at the Josh Davis Natatorium. The Ladies placed fourth overall with a final points total of 407 while the Gents finished fifth with 305 points at the four-day event. Trinity University swept the team titles, winning on both the men’s and women’s side with 1,050 and 945 points respectively.
The Centenary swimming team completed action on day two of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Josh Davis Natatorium as the Ladies are in fourth place and the Gents in fifth. The Ladies have collected 140 total points while the Gents have earned 130.

The Centenary men's and women's swimming team celebrated "Senior Day" on Saturday as the Maroon and White faced Austin College at the Centenary Fitness Center. The Ladies defeated the ‘Roos, 94-82, while the Gents fell, 122-72. Three seniors (Ellen Atkinson, Jessi Jordan, and Eddie Dyess) were honored in Centenary's final home meet of the season.
The Centenary men's and women's swimming team will celebrate “Senior Day” on Saturday as the Maroon and White welcome Austin College to town for a 1 p.m. meet at the Centenary Fitness Center. Three seniors (Ellen Atkinson, Jessi Jordan, and Eddie Dyess) will be honored in Centenary’s final home meet of the season. Atkinson (Katy, Texas) and Jessi Jordan (Dallas, Texas) are the two Ladies’ seniors. Atkinson swims the Backstroke and Freestyle while Jordan competes in the Breaststroke and IM. Dyess, a native of Vidor, Texas, competes in the Breaststroke and Freestyle and is the lone Gent senior this season.

The Ladies finished with a final team score of 327 while the Gents earned a 233 mark.

Centenary sophomore Brianna Serret has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam the week of Dec. 2 to Dec. 8. Serret (Alexandria, La.) led the Centenary swimming team to a third-place finish at the Hendrix Invite on Saturday in Conway, Ark. She placed first in the 100 fly, beating her personal best time by two seconds for a finishing time of 58.29. She then finished first in the 200 fly as she recorded a time of 2:14.29 to set another personal best time by four seconds.

The Centenary men's and women's swimming teams will begin their 2019-20 seasons on Friday with a dual meet against Millsaps scheduled for 4 p.m. at the University Wellness Center – Lakeland in Flowood outside of Jackson, Miss. The meet will be the first hosted by Millsaps in program history as swimming was recently added as a sport by the Majors. The Ladies and Gents each finished fourth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships last February in San Antonio in their last action.
