Swimming Teams Home This Weekend For Pair Of Meets
The Centenary swimming teams are home for a pair of meets this weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon as the Ladies and Gents welcome to the Millsaps College Majors to town for a dual meet set for 4 p.m. inside the Centenary Fitness Center.
Shreveport - The Centenary swimming teams are home for a pair of meets this weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon as the Ladies and Gents welcome to the Millsaps College Majors to town for a dual meet set for 4 p.m. inside the Centenary Fitness Center.
Centenary then returns to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. for a double dual meet against Austin College and the University of St. Thomas. Saturday's meet is the final home appearance of the season for the Maroon and White.

Centenary recorded a sweep over the Millsaps College Majors in a dual meet in Flowood, Miss. on Oct. 26 to cap the fall season in its most recent action.
The men picked up a 171-56 victory while the women earned a 125-81 win. The Maroon and White held its annual Alumni/Intrasquad meet at home on Nov. 9 and finally gets back to action this weekend after its trip to Sherman, Texas to face Austin College last weekend was cancelled.
Sophomore Hannah Waddell (Shreveport, La.) is in the midst of another outstanding season for the Ladies as she has tallied 14 individual wins in four meets. She was named the SCAC Co-Women's Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 29 following her impressive performance against Millsaps and earned the honor for the second time this season. She was named solo Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 15 after she turned in an impressive opening weekend for the Ladies in a pair of home meets against McMurry as she claimed six individual wins.
Freshman Bailey Allemeier (Altus, Okla.) and sophomore Reece Esser (Huntsville, Texas) have been consistent so far this season as each have recorded multiple individual wins and runner-up finishes.
Freshman Hunter Hedges (Murphy, Texas) is one of a handful of talented rookies on the men's side and he picked up a trio of individual wins in the Millsaps meet. Freshman Noah Bannan (Mandeville, La.), freshman Adam Stelly (Opelousas, La.), freshman Sake Stroderd (Sulphur, La.), freshman Trey White (Ball, La.), and freshman Parker Randolph (Shreveport, La.) have all posted individual wins this season along with senior Antonio Barbee (Plaquemine, La.).
Centenary will finish the season next month in the annual SCAC Championships meet set for Feb. 12-15 in Garland, Texas.
