Claire Hiler Named Head Volleyball Coach
Claire Hiler has been named head coach of the Centenary volleyball program, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
Shreveport – Claire Hiler has been named head coach of the Centenary volleyball program, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
Hiler, a native of Wills Point, Texas, graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sports Management. Hiler comes to Centenary from Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas where she served as head coach for two seasons. Prior to her season at Coastal Bend, she was an assistant coach at Dallas College- Richland.
"I am beyond grateful and excited to be the new head volleyball coach at Centenary College," said Hiler.
"I want to thank the entire hiring committee for the opportunity and trust to lead the volleyball program starting this Fall 2026 season. I am looking forward to setting the foundation for what Centenary College Volleyball will be and establish a competitive culture within the program."
Hiler has been the head coach for a club team, RIVAL Volleyball, since 2023 and previously coached RISE Rockwall Volleyball Club (2020), Brazos Valley Juniors (2020-2021), and Incredible Crush Volleyball (2021-2023).
She has hosted various volleyball camps, skills clinics, and club and recreation league team practices. She set up volleyball drills, organized club activities, coached developmental and elite volleyball players and hosted private volleyball lessons. Hiler also coached at regional and national tournaments for ages 11-18U athletes.

I know Coach Hiler is excited and ready to get started and I am equally excited to assist and support her vision for Centenary Volleyball."
