Hi Ladies fans! This is sophomore Kendall Arasmith, bringing you this week's gym talk.
The ladies are in full swing with classes and open gyms. It has been great to be able to flip with our friends again! The Ladies have started doing full sets on bars and beam. We have also started doing some dance routines on floor. It is so exciting to door floor routines with my teammates dancing alongside. The Ladies are working hard to be ready for our intra-squad on October 15. I know everyone will "rock it".
Along with open gyms, the ladies are putting in work in the classroom. Eleven out of the sixteen ladies had tests this week. These smart gymnasts are working hard to have a high team GPA at the end of the semester.
We are all super excited to get to go home for fall break. We are ready to see our families and to get off campus for a few days. We have been working hard both in the classroom and getting ready for official practices to start, so a few days at home will give us some much-needed down time. This short break will help us come back energized and help us take on our first practice.
I would like to give a special shout out to the freshmen! Sometimes, the transition to college is hard with moving away from home and constantly having things to do and places to go. I am extremely proud of the way they have jumped right in and worked so hard. Way to go Ladies!
