2020 Senior Season: Finished her career in style with a successful and award-filled senior season … Named to the 2020 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association DIII regular season All-America Team as she earned All-America honors on the vault and Second Team All-America on the floor … Named a 2020 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate Nationals All-American, as she received first team honors on vault and floor … Named to the USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Senior All-Star Team … Was named Co-MIC Senior of the Year by the Midwest Independent Conference, an award which recognizes the most outstanding senior gymnast in their final season of competition … She also earned second team MIC honors on both the floor and vault and was named a Midwest Independent Conference scholar-athlete … She placed first in the vault in the DIII East Division with a Seasonal Average Score (SAS) of 9.738 and second on the floor with an SAS of 9.818 … Austin shined on Senior Day versus Southeast Missouri State University as she won the vault with a 9.80 score and placed second on the floor with a superb routine, scoring a 9.80 … She scored no less than a 9.80 in her last six meets this season on the floor including a season-best mark of 9.825 in the Ladies’ final meet of the season on March 6… Capped off her Senior Day performance with a fifth-place finish on the beam with a season-best and personal best score of 9.70.
2019 Junior Season: Qualified for the USA Gymnastics Championships for the third year in a row and competed on vault, beam, and floor … Earned second team Midwest Independent Conference honors on both the vault and floor...Season high of 9.8 on vault on March 3 at TWU and again on March 15 at Missouri; 9.75 on beam and 9.825 on floor at Temple on March 10.
2018 Sophomore Season: Qualified for the USA Gymnastics Championships on floor… Competed in the all-around in five meets for the season… Had season highs of 9.575 on vault three times, 9.100 on bars twice, 9.750 on beam against Southeast Missouri State on February 23, 9.800 on floor at the Bridgeport Quad March 17, and 37.925 in the all-around against Alaska-Anchorage February 11… Won the all-around at Southeast Missouri State with a 37.200 on March 9… Also finished second in an event three times and third on an event six times during the season… Received Academic All-Conference honors from the Midwest Independent Conference.
2017 Freshman Season: Qualified for USA Gymnastics Nationals on both vault and floor... Competed in 12 meets... Won with a season-best 9.800 on floor at Alaska March 3... Also took third on floor against Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a 9.775 January 27... Also had season highs of 9.650 on vault and 8.750 on bars... Earned Academic All-Conference status by the Midwest Independent Conference.
Prior to Centenary: Competed for River City Gymnastics and head coaches Erica and Keno Anderson and Jessica Prince... finished first in the all-around at the Crimson Classic... Also won on vault and floor while finishing third in the all-around at the Atlanta Paws for Cause Invitational.
Personal: Birthday is January 3...daughter of Calvin and Mimi Austin...siblings are Calvin Austin III, Claudia-Ruthie Austin, Naomi Pearl Austin, and BellaRose Sophia Austin...at Centenary, majoring in biology.

Three Centenary Ladies gymnasts were named to the 2020 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-America Team, as seniors Cami Bea Austin and Dorothy Mims, and sophomore Kendall Sanders all received the national honors, the WCGA announced on Thursday.
The Midwest Independent Conference continued the announcement of its postseason awards and honors on Tuesday as the league’s Scholar-Athlete Team was released. Twelve Ladies gymnasts made the team meaning each earned a 3.25 grade point average or higher during the fall 2019 semester.

The Midwest Independent Conference announced its 2020 specialty award winners on Friday, after votes were tabulated by the league’s head coaches and the Centenary gymnastics teams claimed three honors. The league will continue recognize the outstanding accomplishments of its student-athletes next week, as the MIC All-Conference Team and Scholar-Athlete Team will be released.
Hey Ladies’ fans, it’s freshman Kendall Huff back with you for this week’s gym talk! The Ladies have had a whole week of practice and no school, due to Mardi Gras break. The break let our bodies (and our brains!) recuperate from the super busy weeks before. Some of us even got to have some fun and go to part of a Mardi Gras parade! For a few of us, it was our first time to experience one!

Hey Ladies fans, it’s your girl Xi pie back with another gym talk. This last week the Ladies went to North Carolina and competed against NC State and William and Mary. We had a short week coming off a double meet weekend, and it was mid-terms too, so we had limited time in the gym, and some stressful days trying to make up the work we missed the previous week on top of keeping up with this week’s tests. But never fear, your Ladies stayed the course and made it through!

The Centenary gymnastics team fell by a score of 195.325-191.650 in an exciting and bittersweet dual meet at the Gold Dome on Friday evening. The Ladies cap the weekend with a dual meet versus Winona State on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.

We have really shown our grit and determination this week during practice while getting ready for our second home meet of the year. The Ladies have really stepped it up by being intentional with every turn and having no doubt in ourselves or our teammates.
The Centenary gymnastics team welcomes Texas Woman's University to the Gold Dome on Saturday for the Ladies’ first home meet of the season with first rotation set for 6 p.m. Centenary opened its 2020 season with a third-place finish in Corvallis, Ore. Last weekend as the Ladies competed against host and nationally-ranked Oregon State and Seattle Pacific at Gill Coliseum. The Maroon and White finished with a score of 182.625 in its first meet of the season.
The Centenary gymnastics team will open its 2020 season on Saturday when the Ladies compete in a road meet at Oregon State University against the host Beavers and Seattle Pacific at 1 p.m. local time at Gill Coliseum. The Ladies will host Texas Woman's in their first home meet of the season next Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Gold Dome with first rotation set for 6 p.m. The meet will be the first of four straight at home for the Ladies.

Hey Centenary Gymnastics fans! Freshman Lauryn Stiff here with my first gym talk! The week before Thanksgiving break was an incredible week of training. The amount of progress every one of my teammates has shown is fantastic! We really pushed through the last day and managed to cross off our Thanksgiving goals!

Hey Ladies Fans! This is Sophomore Kendall Sanders with this week’s gym talk! This week has been full of fun and excitement. The Ladies had a great track workout where we focused on our vault sprints and building up the endurance with some stadiums (everyone’s favorite!!) After open gym on Friday the Ladies attended the women’s soccer game where our very own Kendall Knaps and Rose Deshler sang the National Anthem together and sounded AMAZING! There was also a tailgate where our famous Chief Eddie Walker and other DPS officers grilled for everyone.
