2017-18 Sophomore Season: Named Second Team All-Conference by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference after finishing second on the team and fourth in the conference in scoring with 17.3 points per game… Led the team with 6.6 rebounds per game… Started all 26 games on the season… Finished the season with four double-doubles, including 27 points and a season high 12 rebounds in the 111-109, double overtime win against Johnson and Wales December 1, 2017… Recorded a double-double in both games of the 2018 SCAC Tournament… Scored a season high 31 points in the 99-81 loss at Concordia… Reached double-digits in scoring in 23 of 26 games for the year.

2016-17 Freshman Season: Played in 26 games with 15 starts... Finished third on the team with 5.2 rebounds per game and fourth in scoring with 10.1 points per game... Recorded four double-doubles on the season in points and rebounds... Scored a season-high 26 points in a 92-86 loss at the University of the Ozarks December 1, 2016... Pulled down a season-best 11 boards along with 20 points in an 80-54 win against Millsaps in the Holiday Classic December 17, 2016... Reached double-digit scoring in 12 games.

Prior to Centenary: Appeared at every position on the court save point guard for head coach Rusty and Todd Johnson at C.E. Byrd HS... Helped the Yellow Jackets win two-straight District Championships... Individually, named All-District and played in the All-Star Game. Off the court, grabbed Academic All-State accolades and graduated with honors from C.E. Byrd High School.

Personal: Born September 25... Son of Woodrow and Pamela Evans and has five sisters; Portia, Alexus, Ashley, Latoya, and Lontravia with one brother, Christian... Majoring in engineering.

Late Run Sinks Gents Basketball at Johnson & Wales, 77-67

DENVER – The Gents led for virtually all of the first 36 minutes of the game, but the Wildcats put together a major run to rally for the double-digit victory as Centenary (5-9, 3-3 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell at Johnson & Wales (11-5, 4-3 SCAC) 77-67 Saturday night, January 5.

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents held a three-point led at the break and led by as much as seven in the second half, but the Pirates got hot from the field in the final 10 minutes to pull away for the double-digit win as Centenary (3-8, 1-2 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Southwestern (6-6, 3-0 SCAC) 80-69 Saturday night, December 28.

Gents Basketball Falls to Trinity, 67-62

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Gents were able to take control early and led by as much as seven, but the Tigers warmed up from outside at the end of the first half and held on in the second as Centenary (3-7, 1-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to Trinity (2-7, 2-0 SCAC) 67-62 in its final games before Christmas.

Gents Basketball Chosen Second in Preseason SCAC Poll

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - In a close vote by the conference head coaches, the Centenary Gents Basketball team was selected to finish second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for the 2018-19 season. The Gents, who received two first-place votes, finished runner-up in both the SCAC Regular Season and Tournament for the 2017-18 season.
