Women's Basketball Falls to St. Thomas At Home
The Centenary women’s basketball team lost 97-36 on Friday night to the St. Thomas Celts in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Gold Dome. The Ladies will close the regular season next weekend at home with SCAC contests versus Austin College (Feb. 21 – 5:30 p.m.), and Dallas (Feb. 22 – 6 p.m.) on Senior Day.
Shreveport – The Centenary women's basketball team lost 97-36 on Friday night to the St. Thomas Celts in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at the Gold Dome.
The Ladies (1-22, 1-15 SCAC) were led in scoring by Junior forward Bre Frierson (Shreveport) with 11 points in 24 minutes. She made five of her 11 shot attempts from the floor and had six rebounds. St. Thomas improved to 18-5 and 13-3 in SCAC play with the win.
Three St. Thomas players reached double figures led by Sheridan Hopkins' 27. The Celts shot 47.4 % for the game from the floor.
