The host Cowgirls and Ladies are joined by East Texas Baptist University, Howard Payne University, McMurry University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, and Texas Lutheran University. The tournament concludes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
Freshman Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) led the way for Centenary on Monday as she shot a 19-over par 91 and is tied for 13th place. Junior Kaylee Roberts (Watonga, Okla.) shot a 26-over par 98 and is tied for 31st place, sophomore Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) shot a 29-over par 101 and is tied for 35th, freshman Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) is 38th after turning in a 31-over par 103 and sophomore Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) shot a 32-over par 104 and is 39th.
Southwestern is the team leader after one round as the Pirates shot a 49-over par 337 and are eight shots ahead of second-place Hardin Simmons (+ 57 – 345). Rachel Harris of Southwestern holds the individual lead at 7-over par 79 and is one shot ahead of her teammate, Ryleigh Erickson (9-over par 80).
