Ricki Rebollar Named Assistant Cheer Coach
Ricki Rebollar has been named assistant coach of Centenary’s competitive cheer team, head coach Ellen Reid-LeClair has announced.
Shreveport - Ricki Rebollar has been named assistant coach of Centenary's competitive cheer team, head coach Ellen Reid-LeClair has announced.
Rebollar, a native of Hot Springs, Arkansas joined the Centenary athletic department in August 2021 and also serves as the Director of Student Involvement at Centenary College in the Department of Student Development.
Rebollar spent three years as the head cheer and pom coach at Henderson State University and also served as Assistant Director of Student Activities. As head cheer and pom coach, he managed scholarships, travel, and supplies budget for the team along with overseeing the academic progress of the spirit squad athletes. He managed recruitment, scheduling tryouts, securing choreography, and supervised/trained the spirit squad assistant coaches. The Reddie Spirit Teams competed in nationals last year with the cheer team placing 2nd in the nation at the National Cheerleading Association Competition, and the Pom Squad placed 5th at the Dance Team Union Competition in both open pom and hip hop.
Prior to his coaching experience at Henderson State, Rebollar served as Head Coach of the first-ever Nighthawk Cheer team at National Park College while also serving as Student Life Coordinator. He has coached All-Star Competitive Cheer teams, volunteer coached for local high schools, has judged competitions and tryouts all over the country, and was selected to be on the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Staff in 2020.
Rebollar attended Lake Hamilton High School in Pearcy, Arkansas, and cheered his senior year. He then attended Henderson State University on a Cheerleading scholarship, and cheered all four years of his undergrad, and served as the team captain his junior and senior year.
Rebollar graduated from Henderson State University in 2017, with his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and resides in Shreveport with his son Timothy and his two dogs, Colby and Fluffy.
