Five Ladies Finish Competition At 2022 USAG Collegiate Nationals On Friday

Five Centenary gymnasts competed on day one of the 2022 USAG Collegiate Nationals hosted by Cornell University on Friday at Newman Arena.

Ithaca, NY– Five Centenary gymnasts competed on day one of the 2022 USAG Collegiate Nationals hosted by Cornell University on Friday at Newman Arena.

All-Americans Kendall Sanders (Spring Branch, Texas) and Taylor Ann Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.), junior Leilani Johnson (Wichita, Kan.), junior Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas), and freshman Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) were representing Centenary on Friday but unfortunately none advanced to Sunday's action.

Sunday's event finals will include the top five individuals from each event in each session with a maximum of three gymnasts of any team on any one event. Sanders had the Ladies' best finish of the day as she placed third in the All-Around with a 38.100 score.

Wilson earned a 10^th-place finish on bars with a 9.725, Huff had the Ladies' top score on vault (9.70), Sanders' 9.725 was tops on beam, and she just edged Lavelle on floor, 9.675 to 9.650.
