Centenary Ladies Gym Talk: Oct. 5 Edition
Hey Ladies Fans! This week was a good one!
Hey Ladies Fans! This week was a good one!
The beginning of this week was a little slower while we eagerly awaited the arrival of our new head coach. She started with us this Wednesday and we couldn't be more excited!
Wednesday was a great day for gymnastics! Later, the Ladies focused on strength training with partners, arm circuits, and finishing with a group ab workout to a song. Thursday morning was a dark and early one. We started our last track workout with a new creation of "Mickle Laps" and then ran straight into the auditorium for Just Dance! Happy Birthday to Junior Rylie Molina who turned 20 years old! On Friday, a lot of great things happened. Shoutout to the Bar Crew for killing the game, and to the Floor Roars for putting pieces together in their routines!
Saturday continued with greatness. Full routines on beam and upgrades on vault made for a fantastic practice. Shoutout to Senior Lacey Wedge for her amazing front handspring fronts on vault! The ladies ended the week with a WAC practice on Sunday. We are starting a new tradition of "Catahoula Roll Call" to begin our workouts. We also had a new warmup that focused on more rehab for our bodies. In the middle of practice, a crazy dance battle broke out! Everyone was line dancing and moving like crazy!
Afterwards, it was back to work. Shoutout to Carissa Martinez for her beautiful beam work and amazing Yurchenko full on vault! The night ended with everyone's favorite sprint test and quick feet!
That's all for this week,
Senior Taylor Wilson signing off!
