Ladies Set for 2022 SCAC Championships
The Centenary men’s and women’s golf teams are set for the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Vaaler Creek Golf Club.

The men will play 36 holes on Monday while the women will play 18 and each will play 18 on Tuesday as the men will play 54 total holes while the women will play 36. Centenary is joined by Dallas, Schreiner, Southwestern, St. Thomas, Texas Lutheran, and Trinity.
Both the men and women will play a par-72 layout with the men's yardage at 6,864 and the yardage for the women is 5,855. The tournament begins at 8 a.m. with the Ladies teeing off beginning at 10:48 a.m.
The Ladies finished fifth in the MUW Invitational on April 12 in Columbus, Miss. in their most recent action. Senior Abigail Hayes (Plano, Texas) recorded the Ladies' best finish as she shot a 36-over par 180 to place 17th. She shot a 17-over par 89 on Monday and a 19-over par 91 in Tuesday's final round. Hayes recorded her 12th top-25 career finish and has now done so in nine of her last 10 tournaments.
Freshman Kiley Smith (Fort Worth, Texas) was right behind Hayes, finishing 18th after shooting a 43-over par 187 as she earned her third-straight top-20 finish as she continues her impressive rookie season. Senior Lindsay Strohm (McKinney, Texas) and sophomore Madison Wing (Shreveport, La.) finished 20th and 21st.
The Ladies finished fifth at last season's SCAC Championships. Hayes was the top finisher for the Ladies as she finished 19th.
