KANSAS CITY, Mo.�-The Centenary volleyball team lost the first match of its Summit League weekend road trip to UMKC on Friday night 3-0 (30-17, 30-24, 30-16).
Centenary (1-17, 0-5 Summit) tallied 32 kills on the evening and committed 27 hitting errors for a .047 attack percentage. Ashlee Freeman led the Ladies with eight kills while Stephanie Hobaugh added seven kills in the loss.
UMKC (4-15, 1-4 Summit) recorded a hitting percentage of .326 on 41 kills with just 11 errors. Sarah Johnson had eight kills to lead the Kangaroos.
Centenary will conclude its weekend road trip with a 7 p.m. match on Saturday at Western Illinois in Macomb, Ill.
