Lugo, a junior from Bossier City, La., went 1032 overall.
As a 6'4", 185-pound righty, Lugo has emerged from a reliever role into a weekend starter over his three-year stint at Centenary.
In three years, Lugo has compiled an ERA of 5.25, notched an 8-13 record with four saves to rank him Top 10 in the all-time record books. Lugo has tossed 150.2 innings, making 37 appearances and 24 starts. He has fanned 137 hitters.
Lugo was named a 2010 Second Team All-Summit League selection and was voted Summit League's "Most Underrated Pitcher" for the 2011 season by College Baseball Insider.
He is the third pitcher in two years to be selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft as 2010 teammates Boone Whiting and Dakota Robinson were selected a year ago.
