SHREVEPORT-With the Fall season right around the corner, Centenary head baseball coach Mike Diaz has announced that Centenary has partnered with LSUS and BPCC to host its 2010 Wooden Bat Collegiate Fall League beginning this Saturday, September 11.
The league is open to high school baseball players and will run every Saturday and Sunday from Sept. 11-Oct. 23/24. Instruction and league information will be shared at 9:00 am on Day 1 (Sept. 11) at Shehee Stadium, home of the Centenary Gents.
Training and games will begin the following weekend, Sept. 18-19. Locations for games will be held at Centenary, Pilots Field (LSUS) and BPCC.
The league cost $175 per player OR $1,200 per team. A team must consist of at least 10 players.
Playing a 12 game schedule over the course of the fall, each weekend will consist of defensive and offensive training, pregame warm up and two five-inning wooden bat games all supervised by Centenary, LSUS, and BPCC players and coaches.
