SHREVEPORT-The Centenary baseball team welcomes golf enthusiasts to participate in its annual Curtis H. Stout Invitational slated for Friday, Nov. 5 at Shreveport Country Club.
The tournament will be formatted as a four-man scramble and will cost $500/team or $125/player. Registration will begin at 10 am on Nov. 5 with a shotgun start at 11 am.
Entry fees will cover green fees, cart, beverages, a boxed lunch, snacks, and great prizes for first thru third place, hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, and putting contest.
All proceeds made will go directly to the Centenary baseball program for the upcoming season.

The annual golf outing will serve as an opportunity for current players and coaches to meet former players, donors and the community of Shreveport-Bossier in an effort to promote Gents baseball for the 2010-11 season.
Following the golf tournament, Centenary will provide fans with its annual Alumni Game on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Shehee Stadium. Time is still TBA.
"Our annual golf invitational is a way for our current players to reconnect with those who have continued to support the program over the years, from former players to members of the community," said head coach Mike Diaz.
"I am excited about the prepared weekend and allowing fans of Centenary baseball preview what is to come for this upcoming season."
Along with participating, Centenary also welcomes tournament sponsorships to benefit the program.
