Lacrosse Back Home On Friday To Face Kalamazoo College

The Centenary lacrosse team is back home to face the Kalamazoo College Hornets on Friday in a contest set for 5 p.m. at Atkins Field.

The Gents (4-5) will play at home for just the second time this season after falling 20-13 to Point University on March 12. The Hornets enter Friday's action at 4-2 overall but have lost their last two games and are 2-1 on the road this season. Centenary and Kalamazoo have met once before with the Hornets recording a 27-11 victory on March 22, 2022 in a neutral-site game held in Irving, Texas.

Centenary lost 24-9 to the Hendrix College Warriors last Saturday on the road in Conway, Ark. and had its two-game winning streak snapped and did not score 10+ goals for just the second time this season. The Gents, who have featured a powerful and consistent offense all season, are averaging nearly 14 goals per game and have scored 125 on the season.

Four Gents have scored 20+ goals led by 29 from freshman A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.). s=Sophomore M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.) and senior M Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) have each scored 24 goals, and senior A G'Colby Spivey (Dallas, Texas) has 23. Sophomore A Gibson Harvill (Bossier, City, La.) has scored 14 and freshman A/M Connor Shaver (Leander, Texas) has eight.

Cook is the team leader in assists (20) and points (44) while Spivey has 17 assists and 40 points. Gibson Harvill has tallied 10 assists and 24 points, Hewett has seven assists, Shaver six, and Gamble Harvill has four. Senior GK Dylan Miller (Shreveport, La.) has started all nine games and has made 150 saves.
